Le Loria a accueilli les 28 et 29 juin derniers, la rencontre annuelle du consortium Erasmus Mundus « Language and Communication Technologies » (LCT) dont l’Université de Lorraine est partenaire. Cette rencontre a rassemblé les représentants des sept universités européennes du programme LCT Erasmus Mundus, ainsi que l’ensemble des étudiants actuellement engagés dans la formation. À cette occasion, une cérémonie de remise de diplômes a eu lieu. Une cinquantaine d'étudiants étaient présents.
Le Président de l’Université de Lorraine a bien souligné dans son élocution l'importance de collaborer avec les universités à l'étranger et a insisté auprès des étudiants sur l'importance de réaliser une thèse.
Erasmus Mundus est en effet un programme prestigieux qui vise à améliorer la qualité de l’enseignement supérieur européen et à renforcer la compréhension interculturelle. L’objectif est de promouvoir l’Union européenne comme espace d’excellence académique à l’échelle mondiale, de contribuer au développement durable de l’enseignement supérieur des pays tiers et d’offrir aux étudiants les meilleures perspectives de carrière. Ce programme accueille des étudiants du monde entier sur deux ans. Les enseignements sont de ce fait dispensés en langue anglaise et à l'Université de Lorraine, la formation est réalisée à l'IDMC (Institut des Sciences du Digital, Management et Cognition) anciennement UFR Mathématiques Informatique. Les étudiants doivent réaliser chacune des années dans l’une des universités partenaires du consortium. Les étudiants reçoivent alors un double diplôme de master des deux universités où ils se sont rendus, ainsi qu’un certificat européen.

The Loria hosted the annual meeting of the Erasmus Mundus "Language and Communication Technologies" (LCT) consortium of the University of Lorraine on June 28th and 29th. This meeting brought together the representatives of the seven European universities of the LCT Erasmus Mundus program, as well as all the students currently involved in the training. On this occasion, a graduation ceremony was held. About fifty students were present.
The President of the University of Lorraine emphasized in his speech the importance of collaborating with universities abroad and stressed to students the importance of completing a thesis.
Erasmus Mundus is indeed a prestigious program that aims to improve the quality of European higher education and strengthen intercultural understanding. The aim is to promote the European Union as an area of academic excellence worldwide, to contribute to the sustainable development of higher education in third countries and to offer students the best career prospects. This program welcomes students from around the world over two years. The courses are thus taught in English and at the University of Lorraine, the training is conducted at IDMC (Institute of Digital Sciences, Management and Cognition) formerly UFR Mathematics Computer Science. Students must complete each year at one of the consortium's partner universities. The students then receive a double master's degree from both universitie, as well as a European certificate.
